Directions

Directions Petersburg is located on Mitkof Island in the Inside Passage of southeast Alaska. We are half way between Juneau and Ketchikan on the Alaska Marine Highway (ferry). You can take a ferry (www.alaskaferry.com), jet (www.alaskaair.com) or paddle your own boat to Petersburg. But you can't get here by road.		Airport Directions 1/2 mile *** 1 km Travel north towards town on Haugen Drive. Turn right on 8th, go one block to Gjoa Street. Turn right. We are the last/second house on the left at 805 Gjoa Street. Look for 'hostel' sign on a tree.
Bus Station Directions From the Alaska Marine Highway, you can get buses to the outside (Anchorage, Canada, Seattle...) from the ferry ternimals in: * Bellingham, Washington, USA (north of Seattle) two days away by ferry. * Prince Rupert, B.C, Canada - 1 day away by ferry. * Skagway, Alaska, USA (with connections to Whitehorse, Yukon, CA & Anchorage, Alaska USA) which is 1 day away by ferry.		Ferry Terminal Directions 1 1/2 mile *** 2 km Follow Nordic Drive north into town. Turn right (1 mile) at Haugen Drive by totem poles. Go 8 blocks to 8th Street. Turn left. Go one block to Gjoa Street. Turn right. We are the second/last house on your left at 805 Gjoa Street. See 'hostel' sign in tree.
Train Station Directions Nearest train stations are in Prince Rupert, B.C. Canada (`20 hrs by ferry) and Bellingham, Washington, USA (~ 2 days by ferry).
