Petersburg Bunk and Breakfast - about our hostel

Our small home hostel is nestled in the trees on the edge of town. You'll share our home with us and the other guests. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, relaxing and affordable place for travelers while staying in Petersburg and exploring southeast Alaska. You'll find books and videos about Alaska, fishing, moutains, animals and glacers. Each guest gets a their own bunk bed with linens, towels, comforter, reading light, outlets and locker. Most of the bunks have enough headroom for an average height person to sit up. We don't have double beds or a couples rooms. Though we do have a family room for adults traveling with young childern. Childern with well behaved parents are welcome at Petersburg Bunk and Breakfast Hostel.

Bunk Rooms (single gender)
Each bed in our 4-person bunks rooms includes use of linen, mattress, towels, locker, lock, reading light and handy access to nearby electrical outlets.

Our bunk beds offer a great place to relax and regroup before heading out to the wildness again. Most adults of average height are able to sit up in bed. Sorry, no couples rooms, though we do have a family room for those traveling with very old parents or very young childern. Advanced reservations required for use of the family room.

Living Room
Travelers enjoy reading, playing games, telling stories and learning about Alaska while hanging out in our living room. Situated on the upper floor of our home, the windows of the common area over looks, mountains, muskeg and trees.

Kitchen
From seafood feasts to baked goods for breakfast, the guests and hostel hosts are frequenlty creating eating delights in our kitchen. Petersburg Bunk and Breakfast Hostel serves a light breakfast of cereal, home-baked bread, juice and whatever other goodies are handy (7 am to 9 am).

Yes, bring your cooking skills, pick up some fresh crab, salmon and halibut (availability seasonally) and start creating yor seafood dining delight. Don't know a reciped? No problen, just use one of our cook books.
